There’s no sugar coating the Truth: it’s your vibration in the moment that matters to your prosperity.

That Truth actually carries both sweet and bitter. When you look around, you know you’ve created what’s here. Yup, I know, that awareness brings a certain amount of frustration. Of sadness. Of fear that you’ll never be ‘good enough’ or vibrate ‘well enough’ to make any changes. Yes, I feel it too in certain areas of my life.

At the same time, this Truth holds so much power. And promise. And hope.

The trick, if there is such a thing, is to be aware of your vibration in the moment — not every moment of every day. That would be overwhelming.

Check in throughout the day. Ask yourself, where is my vibration?

If you, “Created from my thoughts in this moment…what would I be creating more of?”

Joy or fear?
Faith or doubt?
Abundance or lack?
Busyness or centeredness?
Service or servitude?

Where are you — right now in this very moment? This is the only moment that counts.

If you find yourself creating out of an emotion that you know you don’t want more of, that’s the time to shift. Do whatever you need to do, right then, in that moment, no excuses, to shift.

What happens when you can’t shift the vibration simply by wanting to shift? You use a tool, you use a coach, you release the old beliefs that keep that vibration in place, you go out in nature, you dance, you sing loudly, you clean up the gunk from your chakras… So many options, really.

So often, we wait until we can “do it right.” Or we think that because we’re feeling so low, so sad, so hopeless, that it isn’t possible to shift. Those are the times that you MUST shift. Otherwise, life will stay the same.

There’s no perfect way to do this.

There’s only the perfect moment: now.

In Your Dance with the Divine, Have You Tied the Divine’s Hands?

What does the phrase “co-creation” mean to you?

When using this phrase in conjunction with spiritual teachings, it means creating together with the Divine. This is an amazing gift available to us here on Planet Earth. We have the absolute power of the Divine available to us in every moment; the Divine literally ‘has our backs’ in every moment of every day.

If you are going to be a co-creator with the Divine, be in partnership with the Divine, there is only one rule: you have to let the Divine in. You have to let the Universe truly be your partner.

In partnerships, you each have distinct roles, right?

In co-creation with the Divine, your job is to focus on what you want and then follow through on the Inspired Actions that come.

The Divine’s job is to move the powers of the Universe to make that happen for you.

Sounds simple, right?

Well, honestly, if it were that simple, we’d all have everything we want.

Here’s one issue I see getting in the way. I’ve seen it in myself and I’ve seen it in my clients: we want to control the entire relationship.

Sometimes it comes down to trust.

Sometimes it comes down to having a skewed understanding of the Divine.

Sometimes it comes down to impatience.

Sometimes it comes down to the old stories that we hold about ourselves.

Sometimes it comes down to the value we see (or don’t see) in ourselves.

Sometimes it comes down to fear.

Regardless of what the underlying reason is, the result is that we push away the Divine. We hold so tightly to what we want, trying so hard to control what happens in our lives and businesses, we push out the Divine.

And, the Divine let’s us do it. We’re running the show. If that’s the co-creative experience we want, then the Divine says, “So Be It.” And it is done.

But this makes life hard. And joy-less. And we aren’t able to be in our purpose as effectively.

Take a moment and consider how you handle your role as a co-creator.

What can you let go of today, in this very moment, to allow the Divine a more powerful role in this co-creative relationship?

Enhance Your Intentions

No matter what your intentions are for 2012, I have one suggestion to add to your list, so you may step more fully into a Fertile Business (which includes a joyful day to day life too).

Make 2012 the year of moving from what you know in your mind, what you know intellectually, to drawing that knowledge deep within you and living from it, rather than just thinking about it.

We all carry so much knowledge within our heads. Yet, when we want something different in our lives, we seek out new knowledge instead of deepening into what we already know.

In order to do this, there may be a little ‘clean-up’ work to do:

Releasing old beliefs that have kept you from stepping fully into what you know in your heart and soul to be true.
Committing to making a choice about how you want to feel over and over again.
Being willing to write a new story for yourself — past and present.
Committing to being gentle with yourself.
Trusting in your own divinity.

What is one piece of knowledge, one piece of Truth, you know intellectually that you are ready to step into fully and completely, right now?

Making Room for the New

As we prepare to begin anew, stepping into the energies of 2012, what are you willing to release to make room for all the good that is coming your way this year?

What I am hearing from my clients, and feeling myself, is 2012 is a year that will truly be amazing. Give yourself as much room as you can by releasing what no longer serves you.

Ask yourself:

Where are my energy leaks?
Where am I sidetracked from what I know to be true?
Where do I lose my connection to what I want?

Here are the top two release intentions from my list this year:

Unsubscribing from every “expert” whom I don’t resonate with at a deep level. While I don’t have to agree with everything someone has to say and I admire those people who can simply take the ‘nuggets’ of good information and release the rest, I choose to no longer follow someone whose style makes my stomach clench.The reason why there are so many experts out there is because there are many different styles. I choose to release those who don’t match mine.
Honestly, I began doing this about a month and a half ago, and feel a substantial difference in my ability to stay tuned into my own value and way of being in the world.
In the same vein, I am choosing to release — at an even deeper level than before — comparing my work to what others are putting out in the world. We each are here with a divine purpose and we can’t follow it if we are trying to be like someone else. This also means stepping into full and complete trust that we have a tribe of people waiting for us to fully step into our gifts.

Are You Controlling From Your Mind or Creating With Your Soul?

How many books have you read on Law of Attraction so you can move your business ahead? How many resources have you plumbed to connect more deeply with your purpose? How many intuitive tools do you have at your disposal?

If you are anything like me, the answer is: dozens. Scores. Multitudes. A plethora.

These resources are all wonderful tools. You have to know what you don’t know before anything new can happen.

And yet what I have noticed with myself and my clients is that we expect the tools to be the magic. We fall into the trap of believing that focusing on expressing the tools in our life is the answer. At some level we decide that we KNOW what we’re supposed to do and that should be enough to change our lives – and if it isn’t perhaps there is some new piece of knowing that we simply need to discover.

Here’s the Truth: The tools are simply the path to the magic. The real magic happens when you open the door at the end of the path.

What’s the path?

These tools simply put us on the path us to remembering that we are of the Divine. That we came as a Soul with a Divine purpose. That we have all the power of the Divine at our very fingertips in every moment because we are of the Divine.

Opening the door is all about living from this place of connection. Not just knowing that it’s true, but living from the Truth each moment of the day.

When we run our businesses from this place of being, this place of connection, prosperity abounds: prosperity of time, of deep relationship with our tribe, of love of our daily lives, of money.

And yet, this connection can be hard to remember and difficult to live in our daily lives with all of the crap we pick up along the way from our human experience.

This crap keeps the knowing at an intellectual level instead of a body level, instead of the deep resonance, instead of stepping into a connection with your Soul.

This crap also keeps us from recognizing that this ‘simple’ principle (‘simple’ in understanding, perhaps not so simple in the expression of it) is worthy of some time and exploration and conscious daily choices.

This crap keeps us in the place of, “but I know that already and it hasn’t worked.” Or, “I don’t have time for this. There just has to be something else because I know all of this already.”

The mind is really an amazing structure – but so not helpful in this situation.

The seed for the blossoming of the magic of prosperity throughout your business and life is already within you. You don’t need to add any more knowledge. You simply need to water what’s already there. I promise.

Is Your Windshield in Your Floorboard?

Are you someone who loves driving? I do. Okay, to be more honest, I love being a passenger on a road trip — especially at night. There is something about being cocooned in darkness, feeling the absolute freedom of speed and movement.

Perhaps this is why the latest analogy from Abraham-Hicks spoke so strongly to me (and I paraphrase):

“The next time you get a new car, make sure to tell them to rip the windshield out from the front of your car. Instead, ask them to put it in the floorboard. After all, you spend more time in your life paying attention to where you are than where you are going.”

Where is the “windshield” focused in your day-to-day life and business?

Are you more caught up in the details of today or expectation of what is coming? Your ‘story’ or your dreams? Your commitment to your vision or trying to live to other people’s standards and visions for you?

What I love about this analogy is that it creates an immediate picture of where you are in relationship to what you want to manifest.

Since I heard this analogy, when negative or difficult emotions come up, I simply ask myself, “where’s your windshield” and almost immediately I am able to change my focus, my emotions shift, and so does my vibration.

A Consistent Mistake Heart Based Business Owners Make

For me, the definition of a successful business is one that satisfies you heart, mind, and soul. The work brings you joy. You impact the world with your gifts and your gifts are acknowledged. You are rewarded in many ways, not the least of which is financially. You have all the time you need. You continue to grow as a person and as a spiritual being, and you elevate your work and ability to bring your gifts to the world each time this happens.

Sound good?

In order to allow this kind of business and personal life to unfold, there is one central tenet you must follow: you must fully and completely allow yourself to be YOU. You must fully value the gifts you have to offer and how you wish to bring them to the world.

The Trap

What I see consistently with heart and spirit based business owners, however, is that they are very uncomfortable claiming full acceptance of their gifts and abilities. They seem to be constantly waiting for something external to prove the internal.

Waiting for the high paying clients. The unending flow of money. The big list. The big endorsement from a respected member of their community.

Energetically speaking, this is completely backwards.

How can you be magnetic to a flow of your perfect customers when you are waiting to claim the right to those perfect customers until they show up?

The Mistaken Belief

The mistaken belief that we heart based business owners continue to create from is that there is something wrong with claiming our divine gifts; that something bad will happen if you completely claim your gifts.

I believe this stems from a fear that stepping in and claiming these gifts will somehow turn you into an egotistical megalomaniac who cares about nothing but your own success. That by simply stepping fully into your light, you will cast a huge shadow that will end up hurting those you intended to help.

This mistaken belief is accidently imprinted into our unconscious in many different ways: religious traditions, judgment from people who see our brilliance as threatening (because it shows them where they have work to do), wanting to be liked, and many more.

The Truth

When you operate from full acceptance of your divine gifts, you are operating from your divine spark. In this place, it simply isn’t possible to turn into that egotistical megalomaniac.

When you are operating from your divine essence, you are not only holding yourself as sacred, but all whom you touch. In this sacred space, you only have connection. In this space, you are nothing but authentic and your clients can sense this immediately.

The Invitation

What can you release to allow yourself to more fully step into full acceptance of who you are? What can you release, right now to fully and completely love yourself?

The more you are able to step into this divine place, the more your ideal business will unfold around you.

Are These Your Objections Too?

Is it really worth investing your time and resources to clear out your old thoughts, patterns, experiences, and beliefs?

I’ve heard from many clients that even though they understood the concept, there were several basic thoughts that stood in the way of committing themselves to this kind of work — and now that they know differently, they wished they’d known sooner.

Here are the top three misconceptions about energy work and business:

I don’t have the time — I need to focus on activities that will bring money in NOW. I can finesse the beliefs later.

This is a little bit like saying, “I don’t have time to take the car into the shop. I know that ‘check engine light’ has been on for weeks, but I can push it a little longer.” And then something explodes in the engine and now you have no car for weeks along with a huge repair bill.

When you aren’t getting the results you want, it’s your body’s “check engine light” lighting up for you. Life is truly supposed to be joyful, and full of ease and flow. When it isn’t, something is keeping you out of alignment.

When you take the time to come back into alignment, everything flows so much more easily. The Universe is able to bring you the experiences that will provide the results you are looking for. Investing a short amount of time saves you loads of time in the future AND the time is much more joyful. Those spikes of fear, anxiety, and doubt simply disappear.

Playing around in these old memories and beliefs is just “Dumpster Diving.” I’ve moved on. Those experiences are in the past.

First, there is no “past” when it comes to memories and beliefs. They are literally woven into the fabric of your energy system. Any time you have something happen in the present that triggers the same type of emotions, it’s as if your body reaches in, pulls the lid off the old emotions and beliefs, and all of a sudden you are acting as if the past were the present. You may not realize that you’re doing it, but your energy system sure does.

Second, energy clearing is very specific. When I work with a client about a present moment issue, we look only at the experiences and beliefs that are keeping the energy out of alignment for that issue. We don’t just go digging around for the fun of it; the process is very specific.

I don’t want to feel like a victim. I gave that up a long time ago. I don’t want to go into the old story one more time.

Energy clearing is not like therapy. Energy clearing goes in and releases the old, so you can make room for the new. It’s not about blaming. It’s not about being a victim.

Getting back into alignment through energy clearing is a powerful choice. You are choosing to make new decisions. You are choosing to come into alignment with your new goals. You are making a very bold declaration to the Universe: I am ready for my new life. I am ready for my new business success. Bring it ON!

The Universe is Powerful, Wouldn’t You Agree?

So, why don’t we get what we want when we want it? Why does it seem like easy success, where results simply continue to roll in as we put ourselves out in the world, remains elusive?

We are Motivated by Fear

When clients first come to me, they generally come because they are looking to fix a problem: not enough cash flow in the business, a feeling of being completely stuck, no progress towards the big goal they want to achieve, business activities that aren’t matching with the lifestyle they want.

They are in pain and they want relief. Moving away from pain is a HUGE motivator. This is especially true for us humans; we’re hardwired this way.

In doing the work with clients, we work on releasing the fear, build in some new tools, results start coming in and they start feeling better.

Unfortunately, just like the many other humans on the planet, they stop the new practices they were using. Predictably, results stop flowing, fear sets in, and they go back to the new practices. Does this sound like a familiar pattern? I’ve certainly experienced this over and over — and I’m fairly conscious of the process.

The problem is that this creates very, very slow momentum. Imagine taking a driving trip and each time you see a mile marker showing you are moving towards that city, you stop the car. Sure, you could get there eventually, but what are the chances you’d get frustrated and give up the adventure?

Our Basic Biology is a Major Roadblock

Add to this story our basic biology: our systems don’t like change, even when it’s positive.

In terms of biology, change is dangerous, not safe.

So, when things start moving and shaking and we’re just getting started to get the results, all those old parts of ourselves will do anything to draw your attention away from the conscious goals you’ve set.

So what do you do? How do you break these patterns and step into forward momentum and real results?

Two steps will help ease you out of these repeating patterns, which slow down your success:

Create a very powerful vision. Add the element of vibration to the vision with emotions. Let this vision pull you forward. Let this vision be the motor that pulls you towards what you want. Let this vision communicate with the Universe so the Universe can begin sending you the experiences that will naturally allow your success to unfold easily and effortlessly.What this does is end the pattern and habit of reacting based only on fear. Reacting from fear only keeps the status quo alive; it doesn’t give you the results you want.
Keep releasing the old parts that no longer match your new vision. I can’t stress this enough: you must stay in alignment with your vision. These old thoughts, patterns, experiences, and beliefs are hard to work against. But, you don’t have to work against them; energetically release them. Make it easier for yourself (and more joyful, peaceful, and loving).

The more you incorporate these steps into your daily actions, the more easily your results will unfold. Soon, you’ll be looking behind you to see who flipped that light switch.

Appearances Can be Deceiving

Isn’t it interesting when we look at individuals who are successful in their businesses and from the outside, it appears as if everything is going their way? Such an interesting phenomenon.

I know from talking with enough high level coaches, mentors, and healers who are willing to be authentic that the vast majority of the time this is just an appearance.

The truth is that running a business is messy. Messy emotionally. Messy in the specific details. The people who are most successful are the ones who know who to go to when the messiness is getting in the way of success.

But many of us who have the drive to bring our gifts to the world also come with the sense that we should just know how to do it, that we should be able to step up the plate and just go full steam ahead without any assistance from others. Somehow, there’s this part of ourselves that thinks we are somehow going to be “less than” if we admit to someone else we need assistance.

What kind of assistance am I talking about?

Well, there’s help with learning business principles. This seems to be a little easier to ask for, as it is tangible and understandable that if you haven’t run a business that you wouldn’t know those kinds of details.

More commonly, it’s the help keeping ourselves out of our own way that seems to be the part we don’t give ourselves the luxury of receiving.

I’m giving you permission right now to ask for help. I’m giving you permission right now to create the village you need to build your success. That village may look like bringing on a Virtual Assistant, a bookkeeper, a CPA, a sales associate, a partner.

However, if you only look to external assistance, you are leaving your village without a vital resource — kind of like building an actual village where there is no water source. You must bring into your village someone who will assist you with the emotional messiness too, someone who will help you past the fears, past the procrastination, past the voice of your inner critic.

Just as you wouldn’t visit the village blacksmith on a daily basis, this resource doesn’t always have to be engaged, but you need to take it into account. You must give yourself permission to have this kind of a person on your team. Your success and your happiness as you reach that success depends on it.

It is as life giving to your business as that water source is to an ancient village. Perhaps this sounds a bit self-serving, as I am someone whom you could consider as a resource. At the same time, it is my duty to my gifts and knowledge to share what I know. Over the years, I have talked with so many business owners who tell me, “I just need to break through the fear,” while feeling like unless they do it themselves, it doesn’t “count.” Or that investing in those kinds of resources aren’t “good” kinds of expenditures.

Break through the appearances and past the part of you that believes you were supposed to do it alone. Dive deep into your passions, build your village, get yourself out of your own way, and bring your gifts to the world in a HUGE way.
