What is the difference to your business if you can make grounded decisions that lead you to sustainable prosperity? Huge, right?
So why do we sometimes have a hard time making a decision? As I was just reminded in my own business, sometimes the decision we think we are making isn’t really the decision we need to make.
Over the past several months, I’ve been working with my mentor to create language and the physical form of the next evolution of how I am bringing my gifts and talents out to the world. On top of the work I was already doing with her, I made an investment to do a special creative session; but I found I kept putting off scheduling.
That should have been a clue to me because typically once I decide to move ahead and invest in a session like this, I’m antsy to get it done quickly. But, it took me almost a month to schedule the session.
What I thought was the decision I was having difficulty with was — what is the form of what I want to create? Do I want to bring a service, a product, individual work, group work, or something different to life? I kept going round and round in my head and gave myself the reason that I didn’t want to “waste” my time with her by not having this basic answer.
But no. This wasn’t even close to the decision that was holding me hostage.
Finally, I realized the actual decision I was having difficulty making was: Am I ready to step out in much bigger way? Am I really ready to put my ideas and myself out there in a way that requires I trust the Divine?
While I will admit it took several days of absolute fear and falling apart to realize it, I finally knew what I needed to decide.
Once I knew what I had to decide, I could finally connect deeply with my Soul, which allowed me to set the fear to one side, so I could fully and completely make the decision that, yes, I am ready to show up in a new way. Now I could show up to my creative session and allow the physical form and other decisions to easily flow.
When you are having a hard time making a decision, get still. Get connected with the Divine, with your Soul, and ask the question: what is the decision beneath the decision I’m having trouble making? This will lead you to the point, so you can make a completely grounded decision, which will lead you toward sustainable prosperity.
