Are you reaching for the home run?

bg

I am not a huge sports fan. These days I mostly follow our national women’s soccer team and the local MLS team, the MN Loons.

But when I lived in St. Louis back in the 90’s, I was a Cardinals fan. Mark McGwire joined the team right before we left for Minnesota. Watching him hit home runs was thrilling (if we got to see one in a game). Nothing gets the crowd roaring more than a home run.

However, most runs are built by enough players hitting enough singles in a row that a run is ultimately scored.

The crowd roars when that run gets batted in…and politely claps when a batter reaches first base. A hone run is a certainty on the scoreboard. A single is not.

Same thing happens with creating money.

When I ask clients why they want more money, the most common response is: “So I don’t have to worry anymore.”

That worry takes up a lot of headspace and is super uncomfortable..

That worry leads us to want certain goals (win the lottery, get an inheritance, have that high figure business that cranks out cash consistently no matter what you have to do to make it happen) and to take certain actions (always working, always hustling, doing what you really don’t want to do until there’s “enough” money to do what you want, etc.).

In other words, that worry pushes us to want to have “home runs”, to take one action that is going to net us exactly what we need to feel safe.

That worry is a constant voice in our heads, pushing, pushing, pushing. No wonder we’d do just about anything to make it go away in one fell swoop.

The reality is, though, there are very few home runs out there.

And yet, we are all running on the same hamster wheel trying to make them happen.

It’s time to trade in the hamster wheel, the doing, the pushing for the home runs, and the worry for what actually “works”.

It’s time to:

  • Learn how to shift out of worry (because worry around money only begets more reasons to worry about money)
  • Learn how to activate co-creation with the divine resource of money in a healthy way
  • Demonstrate to ourselves that by using skills that connect us with Divinity (being, surrender, trust) that we create that constant flow of the resource of money in a much more reliable manner than pushing hard all the time
  • Understand where we are blocking our own ability to receive what we want. If our hands are up in a “stop” position, no amount of running on the hamster wheel is ever going to net results
  • Use all of the above to consistently “hit singles” when it comes to money to create a consistent flow instead of wishing for the home run

These are all skills that I will touch on in my upcoming RECEIVE program.

Join me to learn how to shift out of worry for good.

Learn all about it here– we start April 27th and have a maximum of 12 people in the class series..
