Are You Waiting or Receiving?

A lot of people confuse receiving with waiting.

They say they’re “open to receive,” but underneath that, they’re waiting. Watching. Hoping. Wondering when (or if) something is going to happen. It’s like putting a pot of water on the stove, putting in the pasta, and then forgetting to turn on the burner.

The ingredients are all there. But something is missing.

When you make pasta, you know the water will boil. You don’t stare at it for an hour or wonder if it’s broken. You turn on the burner and move about your kitchen with quiet confidence.

In other words, you trust the process.

That’s what receiving looks like.

When you’re receiving, you’ve turned on the burner. You’re actively engaged in a state of trust that what you want is on its way. You know that life is happening for you. You embody your personal Divinity. You know the resources of the Divine are for you (since you are Divine). You actively cultivate your Divine partnership. You know that even the rough patches are propelling you forward, expanding you into a new place of connection. You listen for (and take) aligned action steps. You routinely cultivate your relationship with money and prosperity.

When you’re waiting, you’ve put the pot on the stove and hope that something will turn on the burner.

Receiving allows you to shift out of action for action’s sake, overworking for overworking’s sake AND it requires showing up in active trust BEFORE the pot of water starts boiling.

That’s hard when you’ve thought you’d done it already.
When you have had heartbreak after heartbreak, as the prosperity you want *so* deeply continues to be elusive.

But what finally tips the scale is a commitment to one small step each day. One more percentage of trust. One more willingness to look at your old money narrative and choose a new Truth. Recognizing old mental laws you’ve created and giving space for something new. Allowing yourself to be held in a true partnership with Divinity.
