“Dumbing Down” your requests to the Universe?
Have you ever had one of those moments in time where you step out of your present moment awareness and see the bigger picture that created the present moment? This happens for me consistently when I work with clients – and I’m recognizing it more for me personally.
Last week I was thinking about something that hasn’t been coming into physical form and all of a sudden I had an awareness that even though I thought I was taking all the steps to work with Universal law and flow, in reality I was “dumbing down” my actual request to Divinity. It’s a bit like my desire is for an apple orchard, but the request I’m putting out is for a single apple.
What I find fascinating about this we often don’t realize that we *are* getting what we are asking for, we are simply unaware of what we are putting out to the Universe. This could sound like it should be fear inducing, but in reality it’s the opposite. We are inherently powerful. We are using that power on a regular basis. We simply get to “clean-up” our asks. The way to do that is by adding more consciousness into our relationship with abundance.
3 reasons you might be unconsciously “dumbing down” what you’re asking of the Universe:
- You had people in your life that were happier when you were serving them, not you
- You were raised to believe that giving is more important than receiving
- You’ve asked for more and haven’t received it (due to reasons 1 and 2) – so in order to protect your heart, you’ve started asking for less
Old familial patterns and habits keep us stuck, recreating the same outcomes over and over and over. These patterns blind us to the way that we are using our power to create what we want.
The way out is to:
– acknowledge and heal the heartbreak that comes from not getting what you want
– release the old patterns
– lead your relationship with abundance from an understanding of yourself as Divinity and connected to infinite flow
Each of these 3 steps will guide you to lead your relationship with abundance from a much cleaner, clearer, current, and conscious state of being. From there, you can wield your power to create in a more precise and deeply fulfilling way.
