Your Body is a Key Component in Your Success

I have a quick mind. I’m really good at digesting information and understanding what someone else is saying. I don’t mean that in an egotistical, bragging kind of a way; it is simply a gift of mine this time around. However, like any gift, this quick mind of mine can also hold me back if I let it run the show. I end up thinking my way through a situation instead of feeling my way through it—or tapping my source of divine wisdom.

I got a vivid demonstration of this when I attended a phenomenal healing intensive last week (held by Nancy Swisher choosingselflove). My husband and I attended together with the intention of working on our relationship, but as with any transformational event, you can never be quite sure of what is going to show up to be healed.

When it was my turn to have one-on-one work at the intensive, the conversation turned to prosperity. Yes, even a Prosperity Alignment Healer needs some outside mentoring to stay in alignment; it’s hard to “see your own stuff.”

Nancy asked me to physically hold a dollar bill in my hand and tell her what thoughts and feelings came up. I’ll admit that I inwardly sighed and rolled my eyes. My mind set off in its typical racetrack kind of way, “I KNOW what this is all about. I’ve seen so many exercises like this. It’s supposed to bring up all my unconscious beliefs about money. I’ve spent so much time on this already, what’s new that is going to come up?”

(Yes, a most attractive and open look at the inside of my mind! This was one of those times when the quick mind was NOT helping me.)

Even with all those thoughts rolling around in my mind, I put my hand out and took the dollar bill.

Immediately, I felt sick to my stomach, my third chakra clamped down tightly.

“Hmmm. Now this is interesting,” thought my mind.

With a deep breath, I released the thoughts in my mind and connected with the feeling in my body and my heart. I tapped into that feeling of nausea. A flood of feelings and thoughts came into my awareness; new aspects of limiting beliefs I carried about money suddenly came into my conscious awareness. I gained a completely new perspective once I listened to my body and let my thinking mind go.

When I asked my mind to take a backseat, the rest of my wisdom was able to fully surface. This is the gift of being present to what is happening in the body. This is the gift of actually doing the work instead of just intellectualizing it in the mind.

I shifted from the intellectual knowing of my mind and into the wisdom of my body, my Inner Being, Soul, and Spirit. Now that these feelings and beliefs are in my consciousness, I can move even more deeply into my personal alignment with prosperity, abundance, and joy.

Taking the topic out of my head and physically connecting with a representation of the issue I was working on was just what I needed to bring these remaining issues to light. If I had simply “stayed in my head,” I never would have received this wisdom.

Your body holds a tremendous amount of wisdom for you. While creating a business can feel like a very external kind of work, the internal work is just as important. And, when you access the wisdom of your body, you end up working more efficiently and joyfully.

Accessing the wisdom of the body is one of the important aspects to learn so you can tap into the creative, inspired, fertile-in-all-ways, soul-full being that you are. When you are able to do this, your prosperity can truly be abundant.
